Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is fine silver metal clay which enables almost any one to create their own unique “pure silver” jewelry with very simple tools! One form is of lump wet clay that can be rolled, imprinted with rubber stamps, pressed into molds and cut into simple shapes to create fine silver earrings, pendants, beads and charms. No experience necessary. Tool kits will be provided for student use. Utilizing texture mats, rubber stamps, molds, and clay cutters provided by me, students can create multiple jewelry pieces. The number of pieces will vary according to the size packet of clay a student uses and the size of the jewelry pieces. We will work with PMC3 which also enables students to create pieces with fused glass. The price of PMC is tied to the daily silver market & thus changes each day. Current prices can range from $25-$80 depending on size of packet and form of PMC bought. We will be firing student work on site. Students purchase PMC from me. I am a certified PMC instructor since 2004. My work is published in the PMC Guild Annual and Metal Clay Artist magazine.
